Convection electric heaters

During the winter time (or a rainy cold evening), what do you wish for the most? It would of course be a hot cup of drink in a warm cozy room. And what better way to achieve that than to have a heater installed? First thing, we have to understand that there are various types of electric heaters. There are some fan heaters, storage heaters, and commercial heaters. So it is important to understand your own need of a heater before investing in one. 

For starters, convection electric heaters use the heating element in the heater to heat the air nearby by convection.  Due to this, a constant hot air will warm up the room through the vent holes. Convection electric heaters are ideally used for heating of a closed space. It is much safer compare to the other counterparts, as the chances of getting burned is lower.

Advantages of convection electric heaters

Convection electric heater would heat up a whole room compared to many other heaters such as the radiant heater. This would be beneficial if you’re aiming to warm up the entire area, instead of just a designated area. 

It is also beneficial in a way to use convection electrical heaters, so that you don’t have to constantly check on issues relating to gas and petrol. It could also save up a lot space in the household due to the small size.  It is also safer to use convection electric heaters around the children, as there most of the heater is concealed.

Features to look out for in convection electric heaters

First thing to check out would be the controls on the heater, it must be clearly visible and easy to access and use. The more settings for heating, the better it will be as you will have more flexibility when selecting or controlling the temperature of your room. You don’t want to feel like you are sitting in an oven now, do you?

Other feature that would come in handy would be a timer. This would allow you to set a timing for the heater to start up before you reach your home after a long day at work – preparing the room for the right temperature when you reach home. For safety reasons switch itself off at certain timing after you are asleep.

Besides that, the mobility of the convection electric heaters is also a factor to consider before purchase – as some of it has a combination of castors and wheel, and some castors alone. So, make sure if you want your heater stationary or moving about before you commit to a single model.

Some other goodies that come with convection electric heaters would be the detachable drying rack, so that you don’t have to buy a separate one if your heater is used for drying up clothes as well.  It would also be nice to have a cord storage space to ensure that the cord is well kept to prevent damage.
