Energy saving electric heaters
Commercial premises need to maintain a good temperature to feel inviting and keep customers in their stores as long as possible. Keeping a workplace warm also keeps staff happy and if they are happy, they are motivated to deliver a higher level of productivity. Clearly, customers go in and out of the shop on a regular basis and each time the door opens, cold air enters the shop. This is not preventable and if there is inadequate heating, this can negatively impact upon everyone inside. Larger organizations may be able to afford specialized heating that operates the whole day. In fact I am sure you have entered some shops where the warmth is greatly appreciated, even in the coldest winter. Smaller premises would not be able to afford such sophisticated levels of heating as this would impact on their profit margin; therefore energy saving electric heaters is a good source of warmth that can heat up the accommodation without biting too much into the profits. In fact, energy saving electric heaters do not have to be confined to business premises, shops and malls; they can be used in the home too.
Most energy saving electric heaters are designed for modern living and they can be as stylish or as plain as you need. In fact, you can even commission a specially designed one to meet your own specifications, if you have the money that is.
Different kinds of electric heaters
There are a few different kinds of electric heaters to choose from. These include convection and forced convection heaters, oil filled radiators and fan heaters.
Convection heaters
Convection heaters are designed to heat a larger area than radiant heaters and they circulate the warm air around the room. As they operate, they are an immediate source of heat and they will gradually heat up a room to the required temperature too.
Oil filled radiators
Oil filled radiators are more cost-effective as they use less energy and these are good to keep a constant background heat, but not so good when you need an immediately heat source after coming in from the cold. They are generally freestanding and thus, are relatively portable. They can be plugged into the electricity supply wherever there is a source. As they are on wheels, they are easy to move around too.
Save money by buying used heaters
If you don’t have much money to buy new equipment, you can buy used energy saving electric heaters. If you take this option, do ensure that it is suitable for use and that the cut-off switch is operational. Also ensure the electrical cable is free from defects too and the electrical plug has not been tampered with. If you undertake a few fundamental checks then there is no reason why used energy saving electric heaters cannot be just as good as new ones and at a fraction of the cost. If the energy saving electric heaters are more than 4 or 5 years old, it is best to avoid them as not all older heaters have the safety features found on more modern heaters which can make them a fire hazard.
