Electric Heaters Resources
Outdoor patio electric heaters
If you enjoy going out in the evening or socializing, you will have noticed in some of the places you have visited that they have had outdoor patio electric heaters. This may appear to be a luxury, or a necessity for some businesses, but it is also proving to be very popular with ordinary householder too. Outdoor patio electric heaters provide a much needed service for those that enjoy the great outdoors but don’t exactly relish being frozen to the spot.
Everyone loves a good BBQ but not many take place in the cooler months. With the provision of outdoor patio electric heaters you can enjoy BBQ’s during the cool spring or fall. In fact, your neighbors and friends will love you for it.
Choosing your patio heater
Deciding on the best kind of heater for you may not be as difficult as you think. A table top heater, that looks a bit like a large table lamp, may be sufficient for your needs and as these can give out heat for 10 feet or more are a super combination of space saving and heat management. Ensure you buy one with an automatic shut off switch too, although most models of outdoor patio electric heaters come with that as standard today. Accidents can happen and knowing that the heater will switch off automatically if overturned gives the peace of mind. Freestanding outdoor patio electric heaters can also be large freestanding models for those with a little more space and needing more warmth to be generated. As well as being cost effective, these have a range of finishes and styles.
Halogen heaters
Many outdoor patio electric heaters can run on a regular household electricity supply and are supplied with heater settings so you decide how high to have the heat source yourself. They are excellent as immediate heat, which is what you want outside and can support a radius of around 10 feet of heating so people can gather all around the heater. There are of course larger heaters that support a radius of up to 20 feet but why look at heaters that are larger than you need?
Infrared heaters
Many people choose infrared heaters as they are more energy efficient. In fact, the modern designs are reported to be up to 90% more energy efficient when compared to propane heaters. They may not have the looks of halogen patio heaters or other kinds of outdoor patio electric heaters, but they will save more money on heating, whilst providing that extra warmth needed outside. The choice is yours.
Covering your heater
It is advisable to get a cover for your outdoor patio electric heaters so they can be protected when not in use. Even though the heaters are waterproof, they will still be open to the elements if left directly outside which may cause damage or weathering to them preventing them from being useable again. There is little point spending a lot of money for the external heat source only to allow the heater to be damaged. The cost of a cover is nothing in comparison to having to buy a new heater for next year’s BBQ’s.
