Mini Electric Heaters
The majority of the American household owns a heater. Out of these homes, most of them opt for an electric heater which is more energy efficient than a gas heater. Larger homes would opt for a large electric heater with 1000 watts and above. Smaller homes would go for the miniature versions because the need for heat generation is lesser. Popular mini electric heaters include the mini water heaters and the mini tower heater.
Mini Water Heaters
Electric water heaters come in various sizes to meet different household demands for hot water, just like mini electric heaters. The Mini Water Heaters function similarly as a regular large electric water heater. The advantage of mini water heaters is its ability to save precious space and yet still capable to generate sufficient hot water for your daily usage.
Mini water heaters are usually installed near or under the sink and can hold up to around two to four gallons of hot water. This feature makes mini water heaters ideal for kitchen sinks and hand washing sinks. These mini water heaters are a great alternative to the 30 gallon electric water heater that takes up a large amount of space and contributes a substantial amount towards your energy bill. These mini heaters are able to operate brilliantly with just a small requirement of electricity which is about 110 to 120 volts. No doubt that the mini water heater is able to help save some money every month.
The other benefit of installing a mini water heater by the sink is to minimize the number of pipes required to transfer hot water from a large central hot water tank to the sink itself. Besides that, mini water tanks that are equipped with good insulation material are more capable to retain heat than the larger electric water heater.
Other than the kitchen sink, mini water tanks are also very appropriate for office buildings, restaurants, gas stations, hotels, schools and other domestic areas.
Mini Tower Heater
The other type of mini electric heaters that you can find in the market is the mini tower heaters. Standing at about 12 inches tall, this small electric space heater is a splendid machine to provide warmth to everyone when placed in the center of the room and even on table tops or shelves. Several models come with heat circulation features. These models allow the heater to turn at 90 degrees, 180 degrees, and up to 360 degrees to circulate heat around the room evenly.
Purchasing a mini tower heater is similar to purchasing a large electric heater. You should ensure that you are able to control the temperature setting on the heater effectively. Therefore, you would want to aim for a model that includes a monitoring thermostat and a temperature control panel. Safety features should not be discarded. Even though it is smaller, the dangers of having an indoor heating device are still prominent. Thus, child resistant controls, tip over shut off, and overheating disabler are features to look for when deciding on a mini tower heater.
