Warehouse electric heaters
When we talk about electric heaters, we have to know that they come in a lot of types, shapes and sizes. Unlike electric heaters for domestic use, warehouse electric heaters or in general, industrial heaters are a lot bigger and more expensive. The price could range from hundreds of dollars to thousands of dollars, depending on the size, voltage, and company that produces it. The types of heater also determine the price.
The types of warehouse electric heaters
Most of the electric heaters that are used in commercial buildings or in large closed spaces are portable, or in other words, not fixed on the wall or ceiling. Portable heaters are used to save electricity because being in a huge space, a lot of heat is needed to heat up the whole place. So instead of getting a few humongous electric heaters (that would put a dent in your electricity bill), portable ones are easier to move about and only used at targeted areas. You don’t need to heat up the whole area, just the part where the people are, which is why portable heaters are good.
The types of warehouse electric heaters are almost the same as household electric heaters. There are ceiling heaters, wall heaters, floor heaters, radiant heaters, and of course, portable heaters, and so on.
To choose the right type of heaters, you will first have to find out the heat loss of the premise that you need to calculate the rate of heat loss. After you’ve found out the heat loss rate of your premise, figure out where you want to place your heater and what type and size of heater does the job best.
The Voltage Needed
The voltage of the warehouse electric heater differs according to the size of the heater. Bigger heaters need bigger voltage of electricity. However, the voltage is also determined by the way the heater heats up the air. Energy saving heaters might use up less voltages of electricity even though they are bigger than the normal types of heaters.
The voltage of warehouse electric heaters (or heaters used for other huge areas) could be from as low as 5kw to 50kw or more. If you have a big area that constantly needs to be heated at the same time, a bigger heater is needed, but if you only have to heat up certain areas, you should think about getting portable electric heaters.
If you are not sure if your electrical supply is enough to handle all that extra voltage, ask an electrician to be safe.
For more information, always remember that the Internet is your best friend. Find as much product information and FAQ pages as possible so that you don’t end up with something that is inappropriate. Don’t worry about shipment fees because of online purchases. Some companies provide free shipment for the warehouse electric heaters. You can even use the Internet to get an idea of what you are looking for and look up the products in your local store.
